I-70 Through Vail

We analyzed all available highway noise mitigation measures, including speed reduction, pavement type, barriers, and soundproofing. We reviewed the noise reduction, cost, and aesthetics associated with each measure as they related to the situation in Vail. Also, we measured noise levels and traffic conditions in an effort to correlate noise levels and speed reduction efforts. We worked closely with Town officials, and presented our findings to Council.
